Approved Provider of Pre-Bankruptcy Counseling

CIDMCE has been approved by the United States Trustees Office to provide counseling under the new Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. Under the new act, individual debtors who file bankruptcy on or after October 17, 2005, must undergo credit counseling within six months before they file bankruptcy.

As an approved credit-counseling agency, CIDMCE will provide pre-filing credit counseling to consumers in need of fulfilling the requirements under the new act. A thorough assessment of your financial situation including establishing a budget analysis and the options available to help you will be provided. A certificate will be provided upon completion of the counseling session, which will enable you to proceed with the bankruptcy process.* Counseling is available by phone or in person.
